Learn how to master your camera and take creative control over your images with this hands on photography workshop presented by award winning photographer, Jamie Dale.
This 3hr workshop will teach you the fundamentals of digital photography from the very basics through to creative techniques that will enable you to capture the picture you wanted. We keep the technical mumbo jumbo to a minimum and focus on the fun, creative side of photography.
The approach is simple:You bring in a picture that you’d like to learn how to capture yourself (on your phone or printed). You’ll learn how it was taken and what settings to use to get the same or similar result. You go out on a photography mission around the galleries and markets at the venue to try and get as close as possible to your original image.
We’ll be covering the basics of exposure, shutter speed, aperture, lenses and depth of field. From there we focus on creative technique and exploring the fantastic building and location through your lens. It’s an open format so you can ask questions at any stage.
Numbers are strictly limited and registration is essential to secure your spot.
